Autel Robotics EVO Drone – April 2018 Update
As we get our hopes up for the release of the new Autel Robotics EVO drone, we know that enough time has passed for it to have lost some of the hooplas it was getting at the end of 2017. At that point in the game, most of us thought this could be a real game-changer in the market and put some real pressure on DJI. That did not hold to be true.
“Utilizing two cameras on the front giving it binocular vision EVO creates a 3D environment and reacts to obstacles in the way.”

Could we finally be getting close?
The release is sure to happen this year and once again our hearts are pounding because Autel opened up a new landing page for their new EVO with a tantalizing “Coming Soon” Button. It has to be soon, right? Okay, I am not one of those who is waiting every day for updates on this drone only, we have so many other things to look forward to. We all know that it probably won’t be too long before DJI skillfully and methodically release information on the new Mavic Pro II and the Phantom 5. So much joy right around the corner.
Excitement and Competition
Having a US-based company excites many drone enthusiasts in the States but up to this point, China is holding a firm lead on all of this business and consumer sUAS technology. The EVO has a lot to live up to, and most feel that it will meet the expectations but time will tell.
The world of Drone Work is not only a profession but an absolute pleasure for me. Flying has always been a passion and extending that same knowledge into the unmanned Aircraft arena was a perfect vertical move. I am always excited to share my experiences and hear from others so we can all grow together.
